This group has been helping people since 1993. It is for adults who are ready to explore new options in resolving their difficulties. These difficulties may include low self-esteem, anxiety, self-defeating life styles, stress-related health problems, or difficulty in adjustment to major life changes. This group may be particularly helpful for those having problems in their relationships with others, be it parents, children, partners, friends, co-workers or supervisors. The group is for people who want to take charge of their lives, no matter how painful, limiting or abusive their past has been. The group is not suitable for people currently abusing or dependent on drugs and alcohol, or suffering from severe depression.
Group description
This is an ongoing therapeutic group that meets weekly for two hours. The approach integrates discussions, structured exercises, group process, role playing, psychodrama, and other techniques. The individual member’s choice to participate is respected. The size of the group may vary. The maximum size, however, will not exceed twelve members with two co-therapists.
